Sr. FDE in Database and Application Modernization, Mactores
Kaja is a Sr. FDE in Database and Application Modernization at Mactores. He works with customer teams and uses AI agents to move databases, and the applications built on them, from SQL Server and Oracle onto Aurora PostgreSQL.
On each engagement, Kaja sets up the AI agents that convert schemas and stored procedures. He then checks their output for logic that translates cleanly but behaves differently once it runs. He tests query plans against real workloads under the PostgreSQL optimiser and plans cutovers so the application stays online throughout. He writes about where agent-led migrations hold up and where they still need an FDE's judgement.
